Completed Projects in 2024-25

Forest Land Survey in Kalaikunda Range, Kharagpur Division 

Under this project we have successfully prepare a GIS based Mouza Map for the Forest Department of Kharagpur Division to identify the exact forest lands inside their territory. This work is particularly implemented in the Kalaikunda Range.   This project has completed within two months. All the work files has been submitted to the concern forest department. This project is funded by the forest department. 

Understanding the Conservation Threats of Schedule I Mammals inside Durgapur Forest Division

Being one of the most fragmented forest landscapes in the entire West Bengal, Durgapur Forest Division is facing huge conservation crisis of wildlife for long period. Moreover, being a major industrial belt, this area is becoming more fragile to wildlife. In this hostile environment, Schedule 1 Mammals like Indian Wolf, Striped Hyenas, Fishing Cat and others have evolved themselves to manage their existence against all the odds.  The detailed report after the completion of the work, has been submitted to the Divisional Forest Departmental Officer of Durgapur Division Forest Department.
